NOTE: Acceptance of your presentation at the symposium will be concluded after the review process based on the ABSTRACT submitted through the abstract submission system.

NOTE: An author who pays any type of registration fee except “Accompanying Person” is allowed to make one presentation on his/her contribution. Additional fees will apply to the second presentation, and/or any presentation greater than one.

NOTE: Please consider the possible type of submission before you prepare!

* A provisional version will be distributed among the participants during the symposium. After the symposium, a final version will be distributed online. In case of no-show, the corresponding paper will be excluded from the final version of the proceedings.




Abstract Submission (due on March 1, 2024 March 15, 2024)

The author(s) who plan to present their contributions at the 12th JFPS International Symposium on Fluid Power should submit an abstract (template file available below) in Portable Document Format (.pdf) through the submission system by March 1, 2024 March 15, 2024. Acceptance of the abstract will be notified by April 1, 2024 April 15, 2024.
Acceptance of the abstract is considered as acceptance for presentation at the symposium. However, the paper submission is mandatory.

Symposium Paper Submission (due on May 1, 2024 May 15, 2024) – for those whose abstract is accepted

Once the abstract is accepted, the author(s) should submit a symposium paper with a length of 2-12 pages (template file available below) in Portable Document Format (.pdf) through the submission system by May 1, 2024 May 15, 2024. Acceptance of the symposium paper will be notified by July 1, 2024.
If the author(s) would like to enter the symposium awards, they should submit a symposium paper with a length of 6-12 pages. In addition, a pre-recorded presentation video is compulsory.

Video Submission (due on September 1, 2024) – for those whose symposium paper is accepted –

The author(s) accepted for a presentation at the symposium are encouraged to submit a pre-recorded presentation video by September 1, 2024. The video will be available online among the participants during the symposium. Video submission is optional; however, for those who would like to enter the symposium awards, the video submission is compulsory in addition to the symposium paper with a length of 6-12 pages.

The video submission procedure will be announced soon.

NOTE: It is not considered as presented only by the video submission.




Presentation Instruction

The presentations at HIROSHIMA 2024 will be given by Oral or Poster presentations delivered on-site.

The instructions for the presentation will be announced soon.




Invitation to Special Issue

The JFPS International Journal of Fluid Power System is planning a special issue (will be published in Vol. 18, 2025) on this symposium, HIROSHIMA 2024. Those who present their contributions at HIROSHIMA 2024 with a symposium paper with a length of 6-12 pages are eligible for this opportunity. The paper submission to the journal is independent of the symposium paper submission with the deadline on December 31, 2024. Details will be announced on the Journal website. We are looking forward to your submission!

NOTE: Once your paper is accepted to be published in the JFPS International Journal of Fluid Power System, your symposium paper (electrically distributed after the symposium) will be excluded from the proceedings of HIROSHIMA 2024.
